Radio Huruma started its operation on the 24th December 2007.

And it started with the live program which was the Night Mass of Xmass said at Cathedral Church Chumbageni Tanga. The main celebrant was Bishop Anthony M. Banzi, the bishop of Tanga Diocese. Day to day Radio Huruma improved in its operation. Now the Radio Huruma broadcasts for 18 Hrs, from 5 hrs up to 23.59 hrs in the midnight.
