Radio Star 95.9 (CHFM)

CHFM-FM (also called Lite 95-9) is a radio station in Calgary, Alberta, which broadcasts at 95.9 MHz FM with a repeater at Banff on 99.3 MHz. With the motto "Today's Best Music", CHFM features an adult contemporary format. The station changed to its current logo in 2004, and dropped the calls from the station's logo. It was known as Lite 96 and the "Today's Lite Rock" moniker. During the rebranding on December 26, 2010 to "Lite 95-9", the station dropped the "Today's Lite Rock" slogan and picked up the "Today's Best Music" slogan and more rhythmic contemporary tracks were added. The change was based on similar changes at CHFI-FM. Most of the pre-1979 titles were dropped as well along with the older soft rock artists, copying a similar newer-music direction towards rival CFIT-FM (The Range).
