Radio Bigfoot Country (WKPQ)

WKPQ (105.3 FM) is a radio station broadcasting a Hot Adult Contemporary format. Licensed to Hornell, New York, USA, the station serves the Elmira-Corning area including the canisteo valley and northern pensilyania. The station is currently owned by Phoenix Radio, Inc. (who purchased the station from Bilbat Radio in 2009) and features programing from ABC Radio and Jones Radio Network.The station signed on in 1946, three years before its AM sister station (the now defunct WHHO). The station changed call signs WHHO-FM no later than 1981-03-12. on 1983-06-15, the station changed its call sign to the current WKPQ. It is the only one of the three stations Bilbat once owned that remains on the air; WHHO and WQLE have since lost their licenses.
