When you log into AltRadio.org, you find a great mix of indie, rock, blues, folk, Americana and oldies. It is about music as art, rather than just music; a mixture of old and new friends. When you log into AltRadio.org, you find a great mix of indie, rock, blues, folk, Americana and oldies. It is about music as art, rather than just music; a mixture of old and new friends. It could be rooted in Progressive Radio of the 60's and 70's, but it covers music from the 50's to the latest new groups, with everything in-between. It's the "Progressive Alternative".

We call it "way deep, way wide", because AltRadio.org takes pride in the once-upon-a-time truth that radio was where you learned all that you could about contemporary music. And who's to say what is contemporary, and what is not? Just listen. You'll figure it out.

AltRadio began as a radioNtenna, a beta 24/7 radio stream during Christmas 2005. As of March 2006 we were fully programmed, running on digital radio and have not looked back since. More new specialty programs are added regularly, by people who believe that music is the ultimate experience in life. It's now available on many web streaming sites and available on any web browsers at AltRadio.org.

This spot on your Internet and Digital Radio dial is dedicated to all those who rode that wonderful wave of music all the way to early FM successes in a number of West and East Coast markets. Our lifelong friend, Bill Rogers, is our big voice (billrogersproductions.com) and we even have some cuts from Bob Todd and Wynn Evers of K-94 fame. The "New Day" announcement is dedicated to the original staff of K-94 (one letter, two numbers!) who beat the odds. Other key voices are Michelle and Gabe (you guys Rock!), and Paul "the new" Shugrue, who keeps this place so far ahead it is beyond current. And then there is Hunter Hughes, who makes Sundays special with "Hunter at Sunrise". Check out his music interviews and connections at hunteratsunrise.com.

If AltRadio takes you back, or takes you ahead, or just takes you aside, then I'm glad for it. If it needs more or less of anything, drop me a note, I'll pay attention.
